The Silmarillion

A new three week brief, to do five illustrations for a novel of our choice, mine is The Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien. It's a bit of a daunting task since there is so much I could illustrate but I have decided upon at least one illustration so far.
Oromë and Nahar hunting the fell beasts of Melkor in the dark woods before the coming of the elves. I'm quite excited even though I haven't drawn horses since my childhood. Here are some sketches I've already done.







Hopefully I'll get better once I've drawn more.
