Tim Sheaffer
I got 'Fashion Illustration Today' by Nicholas Drake out of the Library this week and it has sparked an interest in such illustrations. Here are a few illustrations I scanned by Tim Sheaffer, I think they're brilliant they have so much character.
I really love the ink work too.

Organisation...
I am not the most organised person in the world, one only has to look at my work space to know that (luckily you can't see it from here) so I have decided to make more of an effort. As I'm in my third and final year of uni not only are my landlords looking for tenants (so I need a tidy room for them) but I'm also going back to my parent's house this summer and have some how managed to hoard so badly that there might be the possibility of hiring a van to move out (not good!). So Over the next five months I have decided to set myself the challenge of A) keeping my room tidy. B) Downsizing by throwing out junk and giving stuff to charity and C) keeping my work organised.
Here is my first effort of C. Re-do my website. Please enjoy and let me know if there is anything horrendously wrong with it.

The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories
The Folio Society and House of Illustration have recently set up a competition to illustrate Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber and other stories. I love Folio Society books and was lucky enough to get their edition of The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien for Christmas. So anyway the competition was to do a full single page illustration for three of the stories: The Bloody Chamber, Puss in Boots and The Company of Wolves. And also an idea for the binding design too. I really enjoyed this book and so here are the illustrations I did for it:
"Proud of his fine, white shirtfront that dazzles harmoniously against his orange and tangerine tessellations (oh! what a fiery suit of lights have I); proud of his bird-entrancing eye and more than military whiskers; proud, to a fault, some say, of his fine, musical voice." Puss in Boots
"He would tell them not to announce him, then soundlessly open the door and softly creep up behind me" The Bloody Chamber
"If you spy a naked man among the pines, you must run as if the Devil were after you." The Company of Wolves
