Sydney the Happy Turtle

I recently took a trip to the Sea Life Centre in Birmingham and there they have a lot of turtles and tortoises and I made an observation, they all looked like they were smiling. So I have created Sydney the Happy Turtle.

Best Birthday Cake Ever!

I recently found this whilst trawling through the old family photographs, this was my 3rd birthday cake which my mum tells me was baked for me by my Auntie Di.

I would love to be able to make a cake as epic as this. Well and truly thank-you Auntie Di.

Bats have thumbs...

Just a few more Bat Facts:
- Bats are nocturnal.
- There are 17 species of bat living in the UK including the Common Pipistrelle (Pipistrellus pipistrellus)
- Contrary to popular belief bats are not blind, they can see as well as humans but to locate their food they use echolocation.
- Bats can live up to 30 years.
- Bats don't build nests they creep into nooks and crannies, including the shadowy rafters of old buildings.

Bakey Cakey Day

Today I have been productive, I have been baking.
First I made 36 Jam tarts;

Then a very chocolately chocolate cake,

and some icing.

And here I am looking silly whilst doing it.
