Just a few more Bat Facts:
- Bats are nocturnal.
- There are 17 species of bat living in the UK including the Common Pipistrelle (Pipistrellus pipistrellus)
- Contrary to popular belief bats are not blind, they can see as well as humans but to locate their food they use echolocation.
- Bats can live up to 30 years.
- Bats don't build nests they creep into nooks and crannies, including the shadowy rafters of old buildings.
